With the Rangers out of commission, Zordon had to turn to an alternate source to defend Earth against Lord Zedd, Rita Repulsa and Master Vile. In this dire time, Rangers from another world heeded the call; the Aquitian Rangers of Aquitar.

These alien Rangers pushed back the evil offenses as the former Morphin Rangers began a quest of their own.

Though still kids, Tommy, Kat, Adam, Rocky and Aisha had to scurry the pages of time to find and reunite the subcrystals of the Zeo Crystal; one of the most powerful sources of energy in the known universe.

As each child ventured on their own, the Aquitian Rangers were in the fight of their lives. Being creatures of water, these Rangers were at serious risk of rapid dehydration; a weakness Zedd was set on taking full advantage of.

Soon enough, all the children returned with their Zeo sub-crystal. However, when Aisha found hers in Africa, she felt it was her duty to help with a fractured economy and wildlife. She chose to remain in Africa for that reason, giving her crystal to a young native named Tanya.

Meanwhile, Zedd succeeded in bringing the Aquitian Rangers' arch rival to Earth, the Hydro Hog. And it was only through the combined abilities of both Ranger teams was the menace vaporized.

All seemed to be going well until the Command Center was infiltrated by Goldar and Rito. Having already set up implosion devices, the duo made off with the united Zeo Crystal. Seconds later, the Command Center was demolished. Zordon and Alpha stayed behind.
