As the old saying went, "The past will come back to haunt you." That was never more true that it was for the legendary Tommy Oliver. The Wind Rangers defeated their rivals in Blue Bay Harbor, but in Reefside, a whole new face of evil already had his plan in motion.
After Turbo, and between survailancing all Ranger teams with Andros, Tommy found the time to study paleontology with an associate, Anton Mercer. Having plenty of experiences with dinosaurs from Jason and the Morphin Rangers, Tommy got...creative with scientific experiments. In an effort to better mankind, they found a means to combine dinosaur DNA with modern technology. There were many successes, but one failure offset everything. Anton had been exposed to a dangerously unstable solution that inevitably created an alter-ego. It was that which corrupted everything Tommy had worked for. Soon, the location where all the experiments occured was crashing around him, and Tommy escaped seconds before the flames caught up. It would be years before Anton would be heard from again.
