As the Galaxy Rangers sealed their victory on Mirinoi, something else was about to be unleashed back on Earth. Three nomadic traveleres in a Californian desert discovered the Tomb of Forever. Dwelling within was vast riches and a sealed tomb- the prize they had been waiting for. Little did they know that by opening it, they freed a legion of demonic spirits back into the world.

When the demons were freed, they were appalled at the fact that their Queen's once-powerful city had been rebuilt over thousands of years and replaced by human society into the city of Mariner Bay. Diabolico, leader of the freed demons, vowed to rectify this outrage in the name of Queen Bansheera. Alongside his trusted friend Loki, his warrior Vypra, the spellcasting Jinxer and baby Impus- son of the Queen.

As the demons gathered in their secret dimension and began terrorizing civilians, another organization with a guarded secret was submerging from the depths. Below sea level of Mariner Bay was an operation that had been preparing for the demons' return for many years. This organization, known as Lightspeed, had a development team under the guidance of artillary specialist Angela Fairweather and was under the military command of Captain William Mitchell, whose son's disappearance years ago was directly linked with the demons.

They had the technology to combat this demon breed, and kept their base underwater knowing the demons' power was negated in such an environment. Now all they needed was a team of heros specifically skilled for each morpher theme.

Four candidates were chosen- Carter Grayson the fireman, Chad Lee the diver, Joel Rawlings the "Sky Cowboy," Kelsey Winslow the rock climber and even one of Lightspeed's own Dana Mitchell; paramedic and daughter of the Captain. They were drafted by Lightspeed security, but the reality settled in once they saw firsthand the pain and damage the demons were already causing. It convinced even the most skeptic of the chosen to volunteer their services. From there, it was a matter of accepting the power. The Rescue Morphers were designated and the Lightspeed Rangers were forged.

Unlike Ranger teams before them, the Lightspeed Rangers' technology was based on search and rescue operations while at the same time warding off demon beings of the elements trying to reclaim their land. Diabolico knew his time was running short before the Queen herself would return to check his progress on rebuilding the palace. Against such forces as the Lightspeed and Supertrain Megazords, he knew it was time to give it all he had, which he did in three phases.

Phase one- sending his spy to steal the Titanium Morpher from the Captain. It was a morpher proven too straining for humans (this was a factor with the Supertrain and Lifeforce Megazords as well). Captain Mitchell soon found out to his horror that this chosen warrior of Diabolico was Ryan Mitchell, Captain Mitchell's son who was abducted by Diabolico's spirit nearly two decades beforehand following a severe car accident. Ryan's power was unmatched by the Lightspeed Rangers.

Phase two- sending his last three monsters to waive in the new era of demonic rule. With Ryan realizing the truth behind the accident and the brainwashing that incured afterwards, he knew there still was some good left in him that he'd have to learn to grow. In that, he was able to aid the Rangers in putting the three monsters out of commission, but not without a price. Diabolico had cursed Ryan, marked physically in the form of a cobra tattoo. Every time he had morphed, it allowed the cobra to move closer to Ryan's neck for the kill.

Phase three- combining the spirits of those three monsters into Troika. With Ryan down, only the very lastest in Lightspeed technology was able to disarm him. With no options left, Diabolico faced the Rangers himself. Tossing the Rangers like ragdolls and gutting the Supertrain Megazord like it was made of foam, none measured to his Star power.

The Rangers had to take a new approach in facing this monster. Now able to combine the Solarzord with the Lightspeed Megazord, the new zord combination had a very unique ability- the power to absorb any attack and deflect back to the source. In doing so, Diabolico's magnificent opwer was used against him and resulted in his ultimate destruction. As he took his last breathes, he swore vengeance in the name of his Queen. And with that, Diabolico was gone.

With his end came a brand new beginning. The powers that Diabolco had possessed were now passed onto its hei- the baby Impus. Once merged with the power, a coccoon was forged with impus inside so that the ulimate transformation would ensue. Before long, the warrior of evil was forged in the name of Olympius.

Olympius showed no heistation in demonstatrating the full capabilities of the Star Power. He was ambitious and perhaps over eager to rid
