Power Rangers
Lost Galaxy
season 07

With Dark Spector and his armies destroyed, an era of peace fell upon Earth. So much so that it allowed the final steps in the construction of something so momentous that it would forever change life on Earth. The space colony Terra Venture was ready to take selected citizens on a quest to find a new world.

But as the Earth celebrated, something was stirring in a galaxy lost to time. The jungle planet of Mirinoi was under seige for possession of its prizes- the five mythological Quasar Sabers. Scorpius had his insectoid forces invade the planet. The sabers were foretold to have unmeasureable power and could only be pulled by the chosen ones. General Furio let nothing stand in his way.

As Terra Venture neared lift-off, one of the unselected citizens, Leo Corbett, stowed himself away. His adventure of a lifetime was underway. However, he accidentally got drafted into the GSA ranks, who were scheduled to be shipped to the moon for one last simulation. There he met up with big brother Mike, whom was always disappointed in Leo's lack of responsibility.

On Mirinoi, it was grim for the natives. The sabers would not release in Furio's grip, and nothing he did could destroy the stone they rested in. As the natives fled, one of them, Maya, found herself crossing a freak portal that landed her at the feet of both Mike and Leo.

Hesitantly realizing the danger, Mike escorted Maya back through the portal along with Kendrix. Leo snuck in behind them.

GSA soldier Kai knew he had to go after them with Terra Venture about to head off. With Damon's help, he was able to recommission the Astro Megaship and fly it through the portal, which had moved into deep space. Alpha 6 was there to guide them.

Once united on Mirinoi, Furio had his first confrontation which, at that point, he was in no mood for. Particularly when the sabers were pulled by Mike, Kai, Damon, Kendrix and Maya. With a strike of his own sword, Furio cracked open the ground trapping Mike, who was able to pass his saber to Leo before falling into deep depths.

Losing his brother wasn't something any of them was going to take lightly. When Furio challenged them, they answered the call. Raising the Quasar Sabers to the skies, lightning struck and transformed them into the Power Rangers of the Lost Galaxy.

After that, Furio used his power to turn all of Mirinoi into stone. The curse turned everyone it touched into stone as well. The Rangers barely made it to the Megaship to escape. Maya's world and Leo's brother were lost.

Making it back to their own galaxy before the portal closed, this new team was trailed by Scorpius, who felt was his right to possess the Quasar Sabers.

Terra Venture was in flight, but it wasn't the thrill Leo had signed up for. Instead, his focus was training as the Ranger his brother would have been proud of, even if he relapsed into his old ways from time to time. Though his dedication would come to impress his teammates on more than one occassion.

Scorpius' daughter, Trakeena, was ready to get her hands dirty when the Lights of Orion became the topic of interest. Little did Furio, or anyone, know that she was ready to stab anyone in their back, no matter their species.

Furio had failed to deliver both the Quasar Sabers and the Lights of Orion, so he forced a final showdown between himself and Leo for posession of what he thought was the Lights. In that battle, Leo survived a fatal blow by the man who took his brother. However, it was someone else who had to save him. The Magna Defender had shown his presence.

In future battles with Scorpius' next general, Trecheron, Leo had hoped that Magna Defender was somehow linked to Mike. But as it turned out, Magna Defender was the suffering father of Zika, his son who was killed by Scorpius ages ago. Trecheron had trapped Magna Defender in a deep crevice on planet Mirinoi soon after, where he was trapped until a window of oppurtunity revealed itself.

In his quest for revenger, the Defender had put the lives of the entire colony at grave risk and took it too far when using his Torozord to try destroying Scorpius along with Terra Venture. It was then that the spirit of Zika showed Magna the path. As it had turned out, Magna had used Mike's spirit to escape Mirinoi and it was his goodness that was tearing up his body. Mike was released moments before Magna sacrificed himself to negate the evil energy he had created, thusly saving the Rangers and the colony. Magna Defender was gone, but it was now his fighting spirit that resided in Mike. With it, Mike endowed those powers and became the new Magna Defender.

Leo now new that the Red Quasar Saber was his to own. The six were reunited, and just in time for the arrival of Deviot.

Trecheron had been framed by Trakeena and later fought to his doom. In his place was Deviot, a maniacal mechanical genius whose gift to Scorpius was three Galacatbeaats he'd reformed into his own evil Zords. They were the last beasts foretold in the Galaxy Book, which Mike and Leo found within an abandoned spacecraft. When the Rangers were able to free them of Deviot's control, the team was complete.

While things had turned up for the Rangers, Deviot had far grander plans. In fact, the Rangers weren't even part it. There was a power Scorpius had created for Trakeena- the cocoon. Those who step within undergo a drastic insectoid transformation that Trakeena was unwilling to go through. She fled, leaving a rich power source for Deviot to reap. But in doing so, he set up Scorpius, having him believe the Rangers had Trakeena captive. This forced a fierce showdown in which Leo was able to destroy Scorpius once and for all. Deviot's plan had worked.

But before he could claim his prize, Trakeena had returned trained as a warrior by Villamax. She took her father's place at the throne and swore vengeance against Leo for what he did to her father.

Both sides of the war were driven for their own purposes; one to avenge her father, the other to protect a colony of people towards the new world. But the tides turned when Deviot stole the encryption cards containing the digitized Psycho Rangers. Once unleashed, and made clear of who controlled them, the Psycho Rangers were quick to overpower the unsuspecting Galaxy Rangers. But unbeknownst to the Psychos, their old rivals were poised for a grand return to battle. Andros and his Space Rangers had returned, teaming with the Galaxies to annihilate the dark force forever.

However, Psycho Pink survived by a thread. Once revived, she broke free of Deviot's grip and embraced the true nature of a Psycho Ranger. Obtaining knowledge from the Galaxy Book, she learned the location of the legendary Savage Sword on a nearby planet. Kendrix, a keeper of the book, set off after her. Cassie was by her side.

In a horrific battle, Psycho Pink destroyed Cassie's morpher and used the sword's power to tap the morphing energies, creating a deadly gaseous cyclone. To stop it, Kendrix destroyed the Savage Sword, but sacrificed herself in the process. As a Ranger, she knew there was no other choice. The victorious reign of the Galaxy Rangers had come to a harsh halt.

Kendrix was gone, but her Quasar Saber ended up on the monster-ridden planet of Onyx; being auctioned to the highest bidder. One among them stood out, a lady the universe had known and trembled before- Astronema. But before victory was sealed, Trakeena revealed that it was merely Karone. But in the end, it was Kendrix' spirit that decided the new owner of the saber. Karone was now the new Pink Galaxy Ranger.

Deviot had grown desperate. And when the ancient keeper of the Galaxy Book returned to reclaim the book, Deviot seized his window of oppurtunity. Deviot killed the guardian and opened the pages of the book. In it, he recited the Kianta spell. Time and space were ripped in two, opening a portal into the dreaded Lost Galaxy.

Trakeena veered the Scorpion Stinger away, but Terra Venture was sucked in. Inside, a marvel of cosmic phenonmenon.

It wasn't long before Terra Venture was greeted by the supreme ruler of the Lost Galaxy, a buccanear by the name of Captain Mutiny. Befriending Commander Stanton, Mutiny offered a gift to return Terra Venture home. But it was a guise to unleash Grunchor on the colony so that its citizens would become part of Mutiny's slave camps, who lived to dig for his treasures.

With the minotaur-like bodyguard Barbarax, Mutiny had declared war on the Rangers. To make things worse, Deviot had joined his ranks. A battle royale was underway.

The wears and tears of the Lost Galaxy were having its effects on Terra Venture. Its four engines were burning out, and the nightmare of freezing to death in deep space was closer becoming a stern reality. If there were ever a time for the Rangers to take the offensive, this was it.

To start, Mutiny's slave camps had to be infiltrated. Mike volunteered so that the other Rangers could later use the Lights of Orion. With the aid of a young lady named Hayley, their chances of escape had dramatically grown.

Meanwhile, Kai and Leo uncovered that by reading the Kianta spell backwards, the wormhole that brought them there reopened, guiding the way back to home. Thanks to the spiritual aid of the original Magna Defender, Mike freed the slaves and escaped in the Astro Megaship. However, the portal was closing for good, and Terra Venture did not have enough velocity.

In his Torozord, Mike maintained the opening of the portal long enough for Terra Venture to escape. But in the process, Torozord was destroyed and Mike was sent afloat in space, rescued by little brother Leo in the knick of time. The were free, but the Magna Defender powers were forever gone.

Captain Mutiny had managed to sneak through the portal as well, proudly proclaiming he'd conquer this galaxy as well. But moment later, they found themselves in the clutches of the Scorpion Stinger. With a quick crunch, Trakeena had destroyed Mutiny and Barbarax.

Deviot returned to Trakeena trying to convince her that Mutiny had kidnapped him, but she didn't bite. She knew of Deviot's trecherous nature, and that it was time to end it. She sent Villamax to carry out the deed, but Deviot, in a last attempt to gain the powers of the cocoon left by Scorpius, grabbed Trakeena as the two were hurled into the cocoon. Once inside, their genetics mutated and ultimately merged. When all was said and done, it was Trakeena's mind that prevailed. Now armed with Deviot's powers and sinister nature, she was ready to take no prisoners.

First on her agenda- wiping out the last of Terra Venture's engines. By doing so, the colony was sent diving onto the moon of the planet just chosen as the "new world." In the process, the Rangers managed to set off a detonator on the Scorpion Stinger. The crash of Terra Venture was unmeasurable.

Knowing they wouldn't last long, GSA ordered the colony to be abandoned and its citizens escorted by shuttles to the new world. The dream of Terra Venture was destroyed, but its mission had been a success. But in the shadows lurked the Scorpion Stinger, ready to blast each shuttle.

Trakeena had earlier sent in all of her Sting Wingers strapped with bombs to destroy the domes of the colony, which ultimatly killed the Stratoforce and Centaurus Megazords. Now she wanted revenge by destroying the shuttles. However, the Astro Megaship caught itself in the Scorpion Stinger's clutches and self-destructed, sending the Rangers and the Stinger hurling towards the moon.

Mike and the Rangers secured the citizens on the planet, but Leo was left on the moon two crashed vessels. Trakeena had killed Villamax for refusing to finish off the citizens, now she was alone with her father's voice leading her inside the cocoon one more time. In it, her ultimate transformation into an insectoid warrior. Afterwards, she set off to the city dome of Terra Venture.

Using her staff as a new power source, the dome lifted off and rocketed off the moon. But with her was Leo ready for one last showdown with an old enemy. Unfortunately, her powers threw Leo around like a puppet. Her plan to crash Terra Venture onto the citizens on the planet was near complete.

Once the other Rangers rejoined Leo, all the stops were pulled out. Every weapon, vehicle and power-up obtained from the Quasar Sabers to the Capsule Cycle were used. Trakeena's power was waning, but her sadistic pride pushed on. Finally, Leo had her in the grips of his armor. A point-blank blast at full power ignited a fiery explosion that seemingly no one could survive. Trakeena's body went into flames. Within the rubble was Leo. His helmet was cracked wide open, but he was still alive.

The celebration was short lived. They were still on a collision course with the planet, and they were too late to stop it. Just then, the Galaxy Megazord arrived in time to veer away the colony, softening the crash. From it, both the Rangers and the Galactabeasts were able to walk away from it.

But once again, the celebration was halted. Maya came across various stone remnants on the planet, eventually discovering human figures of stone. It was then that her past had returned. The new world had ended up being her home world of Mirinoi, which Furio had turned most of into stone.

Grieving for her people, Maya went back to her philosophy that the Quasar Sabers had chosen her and the others to be Rangers, and that now their quest was complete. Taking that in, the Rangers knew what had to be done. One by one, they returned the Quasar Sabers inside the stone from which they came. The sabers had been a part of their soul for this journey, and then was the time to officailly retire them.

Freckles of light soon was emitted from the sabers to the Rangers' surprise. Soon, they cycloned all over the area. It then became apparent what was happening- the light was negating the stone spell, returning all to what it was beforehand. Maya's people had been freed.

One more surprise was yet to come. A light in the distance was coming closer. Within it, Kendrix; walking towards the Rangers with a look of absolute joy. By returnig the sabers, Kendrix' spirit had been restored. She thanked Karone for taking her place and was welcomed back into the arms of her friends.

The quest had been like none other, but it was time to celebrate the end of a journey and the start of a new life on Mirinoi.
