Power Rangers
Ninja Storm
season 11
The Orgs had been wiped clean from the Earth but in the depths of space lurked a different kind of threat waiting to unleash decades of vengeance on the city of Blue Bay Harbor, California.
Trained within hidden academies camoflauged by mountains were ninjas of the elements air, water and earth. Heading the academy of the Wind Ninjas was Sensei Kanoi Watanabe, who's son, Cam, aided in training exercises and technological maitenance. Among these students were Shane, Dustin and Tori, one-year veterans of the school whose progress in the program was especially lagging.
Facing expulsion from the academy, the three made special effort to arrive early the following day but weress derailed by a stranded civilian. During this time, the biggest attack they'd ever see was occurring inside the academy gates.
Lothor, leader of a rebel gang of ninja creatures, demolished the academy of his "old rival" and captured the students within his vessel stationed in orbit around Earth. He did so with the aid of the blindly loyal Zurgane, the slow-witted creature named Choobo, his two nieces Marah and Kapri and the footsoliders called Kelzaks. With the attack a success, Lothor mades plans for dominating all the ninja academies on Earth.
Among the ruins, the trio of Shane, Tori and Dustin find Cam alive. Reluctant that it's come to this, Cam lead them to an underground study used as the mainframe for his technological endeavors. Faced with the academy's darkest hour, Cam gave possession of the trusted Wind Morphers to the three remaining students.
Sensei Kanoi survived Lothor's attack, but not without being permenantly transformed into a random animal form, in this case a guinea pig. With his furry tail upright, Kanoi instructed the students to step up to the responsibilities bestowed by the mophers to become the Wind Power Rangers.
The incarnation was less than a successful boom when the Rangers kept forgetting their morphing call, but their perseverance was as strong as stealth was to a ninja, and thusly they successfully halted Lothor's takeover by eradicating the first of many ninjas sent by Lothor.
In Lothor's attempt to prove his theories on Ranger powers, he used two of his prisoners to combat the Wind Rangers. Blake and Hunter, students of the rival Thunder Ninja Academy, were under Lothor's hypnosis and in possession of their own Thunder Morphers and artillary. Pitted against each other, the war between the Wind and Thunder Rangers had begun.
Weapon to weapon, Zord to Zord, the Rangers matched each other move for move with the Thunder Rangers gaining a fast upperhand. In the midst of the war was dissention in Lothor's ranks. General Zurgane was tired of the lack of respect and recklessness of Lothor's plans. Zurgane was sick of the Thunder Rangers being praised instead, thusly prompting his own tension with the Rangers against Lothor's wishes.
The turn of the war was Blake's affections for Tori, which eventually was the tool needed to crack the spell Lothor had. However, this wasn't before Kanoi was captured by the Thunders and nearly assassinated. It was the appearance of the spirits of Blake and Hunter's adoptive parents, previously killed due to the actions of Lothor, that truly turned the tides in favor of the Wind Rangers. After this revelation, the Thunders left on a quest of their own and returned Kanoi unharmed.
Now seeking vengeance against Lothor, the Thunders allied themselves with Choobo, who had abandoned Lothor's ranks due to the same lack of respect shown to Zurgane. Choobo's plan was to sneak the Thunders onto Lothor's ship and infiltrate the system that held the captive students. The plan, however, backfired when Choobo turned the Thunders into Lothor, who cast his spell on them once again.
Now seeking to finish what they'd started with the Winds, the Thunder Rangers go on the rampage, luring them all to a volcanic island that was dangerously unstable.
The plot first fell apart when Blake permenantly relieved of the spell thanks to Tori, and the battle between the two Thunder Rangers began. This resulted in Hunter being forced to recognize his half-brother for who he and himself were. After this, the Thunder Rangers made a truce with the Winds.
For this, Lothor banished Choobo for his failures. Shamed and dishonored, Choobo unleashed all his hidden frustrations on both teams of Rangers. With an array of powers that thwarted the Rangers', Choobo dominated the field. It was only with the combination of the Storm and Thunder Megazords, creating the Thunderstorm Megazord, that Choobo's power was negated before the island itself sunk.
With the two Ranger teams finally on the same side, Cam had time to reflect his own needs and desires. All along, he'd remained on the sidelines of the activities of the Wind Academy. But thanks to a promise made by Kanoi before his wife died, Cam was never to be a ninja like his father. Bound by this promise, Cam's destiny seemed to be set.
However, a ninja by the codename Madtropolis managed to capture all the powers of the Rangers and force them into a submissible retreat. This left the team with no other power source strong enough to combat Lothor's army.
Or at least no power strong enough in the present. Kanoi, realizing the desperation, presented Cam with one final option. Using the Scroll of Time, Cam's mission was to travel back in the past and retrieve the only object powerful enough to fight with- the Samurai Amulet.
Cam Watanabe was never one to shrug from a challenge, but what he didn't expect was after stepping through time into circa twenty years in the past, he'd encounter a younger version of his father, Kanoi.
Seeking to blend with the society until learning the amulet's location, Cam was enrolled as a new student in the academy, encountering another bizzare occurance- meeting his father's unknown twin brother, Kiya.
Amongst them was another newcomer by the name of Miko, a warrior trained in the way of the samurai, and future mother of Cam. With this, Cam had found the location of the amulet which was worn around Meeko's neck.
In this past timeline, Kanoi was honored as a valiant fighter. Kiya, on the other hand, was underhanded and was surrounded by suspicion that he was tapping into dark mystic arts- an act that qualified for immediate expulsion. It wasn't long until Kiya had his sights on Miko's amulet and set up a swift theft, framing Cam in the process.
Cam was immediately placed on trial with the evidence seemingly undisputible. But prior to sentencing, Kiya is exposed as the true culprit by his own brother, Kanoi. Outraged by the sheer betrayal, Kiya went mad.
Using the power of the dark energies, he savagely attacked his fellow students, his sensei and even Cam and Miko, thusly obtaining the Samurai Amulet for himself- and also holding Cam's only ticket back to the future.
Leaping after Kiya, Cam ensues a one-on-one battle to the finish with the theif, who secluded the two with a force field initiated by the dark powers. Both men fighting for their futures, literally, a strenuous confrontation ensued.
But it was the power of the amulet that decided the victor. Rejecting the evil within Kiya's soul, the amulet's power overcame Kiya's and the battle was over. Kiya was to be banished from the Earth and set to float adrift in the depths of space. Before the sentence was carried out, Kiya vowed to return, not as Kiya, but under the name of the ancient warrior of darkness- the warrior named "Lothor."
With the threat vanquished, Cam's free to return to the past with the Samurai Amulet, which not only is used to regain the Wind and Thunder powers, but granted Cam powers of his own as the Green Samurai Ranger.
Now a team of six, the Rangers continued knocking out Lothor's ninjas with new weapon upgrades and Zord combinations, but the next real test fell with the arrival with an old nemesis of Lothor's named Vexacus.
Vexacus, a devious bounty hunter after the lifeform known as a Karminian, formed a shaky alliance with Lothor in an effort to rid the Rangers. Shane gained the power of the Karminian and cut Vexacus' pride in half. This only served to fuel Vexacus' anger for a plot of his own to undermind all of Lothor's army. The power that Shane had gained was through the Karminian's reincarnation following destruction by the hands of Vexacus.
As the year progressed and the Rangers learned to unify their unique abilities, Lothor took a lesson from the Rangers and expanded his forces by adding more generals and even letting Choobo return to the ranks. Among the newcomers were Motodrone - insequentially created with Hunter's aid - and General Shimazu, an ancient being with a twisted sense of humor who was revived after several millennia. There seemed to be too many generals for their own good, but an ulterior motive was at hand.
A fallout was inevitable and the war between Lothor's generals ensued, sparked by the total annihilation of Zurgane by the means of Vexacus. Next on the victim list was Motodrone, again murdered by Vexacus after threatening to report his rogue ways to Lothor, who remained unsuspecting of what was really going on. Vexacus' coup was a raging success encountering two unlikely equals- Marah and Kapri.
The sisters revealed that their simple-headed nature was a ploy to cover the fact that they'd been secretly creating Zords of their own to overtake their uncle Lothor. Intrigued by the revelation, Vexacus took part in their plot, which next lead to the destruction of poor Shimazu, who was tricked into thinking he was allied with Marah and Kapri. His fate came when the Zords were destroyed by the Rangers.
The ultimate deception was still at hand. Vexacus saw it time to end the game of deception and had a final confrontation with the Rangers. Pushing the Zords to their limit, Vexacus managed to completely destroy Blake and Hunter's Thunderzords, but the price came with his own destruction as well.
Lothor wasn't the complete fool that people took him for. As it turned out, he was more than aware of the deceptions played out by the generals and his nieces. In fact, his neices were in on the plot with Lothor! His ultimate vision was finally being realized.
Gaining access to Cam's Ninja Ops using his own handprint, Lothor seized an oppurtunity to infiltrate the base. Only Cam stood in the way of the next phase of the master plan, and nothing was going to be too much of an obstacle for him. Cam defended the Ranger base as best as he could, but Lothor walked away with the victory; and the total annihilation of the base and the capture of Cam and his amulet.
Foretold in the Scroll of Destiny, Lothor was to rise to power by means of an afterworld known as the "Abyss of Evil." The Abyss had to be filled with dark energy to its full compacity in order for the power within to be unleashed. To do this, Lothor allowed his generals to slowly destroy one another for his dream to be realized, but it needed one final push.. His neices having fled, Lothor went into a final showdown with the Rangers, battling them in his own Zord and obliterating the Stormzords. And as with Vexacus and the Thunderzords, Lothor himself was decimated.
With the Abyss now filled to its full potentional with the addition of Lothor's life energy, the entire evil army was resurrected- every monster, general and foot soldier. Even Lothor himself was revived for the final confrontation between he and the Rangers.
Marah and Kapri, learning that Lothor was willing to sacrifice them at the first whim, decided to aid the Rangers by freeing the captured students from earlier in the year. Now able to join, the students and the Thunder Rangers take part in their deciding battle.
Lothor now had use of Cam's Samurai Amulet, and with such, he completely drained the powers of the Wind and Thunder Rangers, leaving them without any Ranger artillary whatsoever. But before Lothor went for the victory strike, he underestimated one final piece of information- the inner powers mastered by Tori, Shane and Dustin. With use of the foundamental elements of air, water and earth, the Rangers were able to hurl Lothor down into the depths of the open Abyss, sealing it along with the captured Ranger powers.
Lothor and his menaces had been neutralized, but so had the Ranger powers been. With a reign of peace finally shining of Blue Bay Harbor, it was time to start rebuilding the academy to its former glory, and in doing so, Sensei Kanoi Watanabe, restored to his human form during the destruction of the Rangers' base, promoted Shane, Dustin and Tori to Senseis to lead a new generation of rookies to the protectors of the Earth. |
