Though I'm not the best model for religion, I do believe in a higher existence than that of man, and that fate leads us to the crossroads in life in which we decide the road based on our past experiences, both good and bad.

For this reason, I've created this section to openly share my concerns about the world around us.

Hurricane Katrina has already been reported as most likely the worst natural disaster in American history. Over 80% of New Orleans has been flooded, thousands have taken shelter in the Superdome (which is becoming unstable itself) and will soon be transported to the Houston Astrodome. It's speculated that the number of fatalities will rise from 100 to several thousand. Though the Coast Guard, National Guard and volunteers are trying their best, the victims of this event have had their lives changed forever.

If you want to help, what they need right now is MONEY. Food and supplies won't be able to them fast enough right now, so money, not cash, is the quickest way to help. Your best bet is to donate at www.redcross.org. This is the time for organization who have EXPERIENCE in disaster relief. Remember, these companies don't have time to call you personally. Any telemarketers who call claiming to be with an organization of such is most likely a scam.

Personally, all I can do is pray for the countless victims and hope that one day they can again find joy in their lives and what they have, even though everything has been taken from them.

I've already expressed my concerns to Christopher Reeve's family this past year, and his site is still available for donations. Christopher Reeve.org

On March 31st, Terri Shiavo lost her long fight and passed away. Her struggle was one that we'd wish on nobody. May her soul finally be at peace. The Terri Shiavo Foundation

As of today, it's been nearly thirty days since the passing of Pope John Paul II. His rule was the inspiration of the younger generations; the very future of the Catholic Church. For the Vatican's site, go to the Holy See. For the CNN report on John Paul II, click here.

I'll try adding more to this page in the coming weeks.
